JANE JOHNSON
Jane Johnson is a visionary educator, choreographer, and founder whose work has shaped Vision Elite Royalty into a performance-driven training organization rooted in discipline, artistry, and purpose.
A former celebrity manicurist and makeup artist from Long Island, New York, Johnson’s artistic eye, creative discipline, and passion for movement have shaped the foundation of her work as an educator, choreographer, and mentor.
Johnson’s journey in movement began at the age of two, when she started tumbling and developed a lasting passion for gymnastics. As a young competitive gymnast, she understood the dedication required to train at a high level, as well as the financial challenges many families face when pursuing quality instruction. By junior high school, Johnson’s natural ability to lead and create was already evident when she was invited to assist with training the high school gymnastics team on floor. Known for her creative choreography, unique tumbling passes, and distinctive coaching style, she began developing the teaching foundation that would later define her career.
Johnson later expanded her training into dance at Arthur Murray in New York City, where she was selected from hundreds of candidates to become an instructor. While teaching at the Huntington Station location, she created hip-hop and jazz classes for young students who wanted to explore movement beyond ballroom training. This experience became a turning point, blending her background in gymnastics, choreography, dance, and performance into a larger vision for training young artists.

In 2012, Johnson founded Vision Gymnastics and Dance, now evolved into Vision Elite Royalty, with a mission to provide strong technical training, performance opportunities, and artistic development for dancers at every level. Her vision was shaped by the belief that families should not have to sacrifice quality in order to access meaningful training. Under her leadership, Vision Elite Royalty has grown into a school and dance theatre organization offering recreational, competitive, professional, and pre-professional pathways for dancers.
Johnson’s training philosophy centers on technique, discipline, performance quality, and continued education. Vision Elite Royalty incorporates training methods including Horton-based technique to build strength, endurance, alignment, and expressive power. Students are taught not only how to execute movement, but how to perform with confidence, presence, and purpose. Through classes, productions, master class experiences, travel opportunities, and community performances, Johnson continues to create spaces where dancers can grow as artists and individuals.
At the heart of Johnson’s work is her belief that dance is more than movement — it is a calling. She often says, “You don’t choose dance; dance chooses you.” Her gift lies in recognizing passion in a dancer and helping transform that passion into discipline, artistry, and excellence. Through Vision Elite Royalty, Jane Johnson continues to build a legacy rooted in faith, purpose, training, and the transformative power of dance.
